Development application lodged for gateway hotel near Sydney airport

The application for a $130 million hotel tower was submitted by Boston Atlas Hickory Hotels, a joint venture between construction firm Hickory and property investment groups Boston Global and Atlas Investment Corporation.
If approved, Hickory expects to start construction on the hotel in August 2022, with completion expected in March 2024, by which time domestic and international travel is predicted to return to pre-pandemic levels.
Hickory director Michael Argyrou said the premium hotel development will offer first-class access to Sydney Airport.
